Official: Russia not to raise retirement age until 2018

MOSCOW, Jun 17 (PRIME) -- The Russian government has compiled its short-term strategy regarding the pension reform, and does not plan to increase the retirement age until 2018, Deputy Prime Minister Olga Golodets told PRIME Friday.

“Our strategy has been set for the short-term, we are now finalizing the action plan regarding the pension reform. We don’t plan to increase the retirement age until 2018,” she said.

At present, the retirement age for men is 60 years and for women 55 years.
